SISATA Neverbird Puppet-making

Tasked with a group puppetry project, creating the Neverbird, I drew a Photoshop design which then influenced the making of the puppet. It was very satisfying to see the complete puppet at the end, with all three elements combined – the headpiece, the wings, and the backpack/tail – and not only to see this on a person, but to also see it move fluidly, the wings able to flow and flap easily yet securely. On reflection, this project allowed me to appreciate the whole end to end process from my original drawings through to the completed puppet, and feel a real sense of pride as well as an in-depth understanding and appreciation of the many stages involved in the journey from concept to reality.
